Shared Branching Service Guidelines
Not everyone likes rules—we should know, we have to write them. But if we want to treat everyone fairly, and not cause a lot of trouble for you or your credit union, we have to have some guidance for our tellers and managers. This list will cover some of the basics of how we do business, and what we charge for our services. We try to be extra good to our credit union members, because they pay our salary. But just so you won’t be surprised, look it over and ask any of us if you don’t understand why we have to have rules. Remember school? Some things never change.
Deposits and Withdrawals
Deposits can be made to the accounts that your credit union has made available to you through the CU Service Centers of Oklahoma.
Check Deposits
· Payroll Check—If you deposit a payroll check, make sure you have your payroll check stub with you to verify your deposit.
· All checks must be U.S. dollars and payable through a domestic U.S. Bank.
· All checks presented for deposit must be properly endorsed.
The CU Service Centers® Location reserves the right to refuse acceptance of any item presented for deposit or payment.
Tax Refund Checks: Joint filed income tax refund checks will be cash only if both parties are joint owners on the account and both parties have endorsed the check. Signature verification may be requested by the service center to the host credit union.
Withdrawals
· Cash withdrawals are limited to $1,500 per day regardless of your own credit union's policy.
· Check withdrawals are limited to your total amount of available funds authorized by your own credit union.
Loan Payments and Loan Advances
· Loan Payments can be made by cash or check, however, there may be restrictions placed on your loan account by your own credit union for access through the CU Service Centers.
· Loan Advances can be made by cash or check, however, the cash limit may be set at $1,500 per day or by your Line of Credit limit set by your credit union, whichever is less.
Additional Information
Checks Payable to Non-Members: A Service Center serves as an agent of your Credit Union and is unable to cash checks made payable to non-members. Any non-member to whom you have written a check will have to contact your credit union directly to cash it.
Loose Coin: Loose coin is not accepted at all Service Center locations. If the Service Center you go to does not have a change counter, they will only accept rolled coins. Each roll must have the abbreviation of your credit union name and your account number.
Business Accounts: To conduct transactions on a business account, both the business name and your name must appear on the account.
